PHILADELPHIA – Jahlil Okafor scored 19 points in the absence of Joel Embiid, as the Sixers earned their second win of the season. It took Philly until December 26th to earn their second victory last season.

NEW YORK – Kristaps Porzingis finished with a career-high 35 points, and heard many “MVP! MVP!” chants from the New York faithful. The 7-3 forward knocked down three triples. Carmelo Anthony also chipped in with 22 points to give the Knickerbockers their second straight win.

BOSTON – Isaiah Thomas scored 22 of his 30 points in the fourth in Boston’s victory over Dallas. Thomas stepped up big time for the Celtics, as he scored 20 of their last 24 points to help the C’s secure the win. Avery Bradley finished with 18 points and 13 rebounds.

ORLANDO – Coming into play, Nikola Vucevic was five for his last 32 from the field. But last night, he stepped up with 10 points and 14 rebounds against a struggling Pelicans team. Serge Ibaka and Evan Fournier also chipped in with 16 points apiece.

ATLANTA – Mike Muscala filled in admirably for the injured Dwight Howard, as he finished with 16 points and five rebounds. The Atlanta native was out with a left quadriceps contusion. Paul Millsap scored 21 points and grabbed eight rebounds.

DENVER – Wilson Chandler posted a season high 28 points to help Denver snap a four-game losing streak. Kenneth Faried also posted a season high in points, scoring 20 and grabbing 15 rebounds. The Nuggets won for the first time at home this season.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Russell Westbrook flirted with a triple-double with 30 points, 9 assists, and 7 rebounds. Westbrook’s former teammate James Harden finished with 13 points, 13 assists, and seven rebounds. Harden struggled from the field, shooting just 4-f0r-16. Victor Oladipo added 29 points and 10 rebounds for the Thunder.

SACRAMENTO – Pau Gasol finished with 24 points and nine rebounds to help the Spurs get the road victory. The two-time champion scored 16 of those points in the first half. LaMarcus Aldridge chipped in with 21 points and Kawhi Leonard had 20 points of his own. The Spurs have won four straight.

LOS ANGELES – Marc Gasol hit the game-winning three from the left corner with 14 seconds remaining. The 7-1 Center from Spain finished with 26 points, six rebounds, and six assists. Mike Conley added 30 points and eight assists, draining seven of his nine attempts from downtown. The loss snapped the Clippers’ seven-game winning streak.
