#A10WBB Semifinals Currently Airing on CBSSN

It is Semifinal Saturday at the 2015 Atlantic 10 Women’s Basketball Championship in Richmond. Currently airing right now on CBS Sports Network is #1 George Washington and #4 Fordham. The Colonials advanced with a 77-63 victory over the Saint Louis Billikens, avenging their only conference loss of the season. Fordham advanced with a gritty one-point victory over Richmond when senior Taryn Durant sank a free throw with only 1.3 seconds left on the clock. GW dominated Fordham earlier in the year but look for the scrappy Rams to hang tough and possibly pull off the upset, which is the best case scenario for the A-10 to garner another NCAA bid.

As for semifinal number two, #2 Dayton will square off with #3 Duquesne. The Flyers were able to advance with a blowout victory over St. Joseph’s, while the Dukes made it to Saturday with a victory over Rhode Island. The junior-duo of Amber Deane and Jodie Cornelie-Sigmundova led the Flyers with a combined 38 points. The Dukes were led by Jose-Ann Johnson’s third double-double of the season, totaling 10 points and a career-high 12 rebounds.
