EDISON, N.J. – Eight telecasts highlight this week’s Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) basketball slate. Five of the contests will be featured on the MAAC ESPN broadcast package, while three contests will be school-produced ESPN3 broadcasts.
Fairfield is set to produce tonight’s 8:00 p.m. matchup between the host Stags and Gaels at Webster Bank Arena. The contest was originally scheduled to take place last Monday, Feb. 2, but was rescheduled to tonight due to inclement weather.
The MAAC ESPN broadcast package picks up on Thursday, Feb. 12, with a doubleheader at Marist. The women’s team welcomes Quinnipiac to start off the day, as the top two teams in the league face off 5:00 p.m. The nightcap features the Marist men against Siena at8:00 p.m. Both contests will be broadcast on ESPN3.
On Friday, Feb. 13, Fairfield will host a doubleheader, starting with the women’s team facing Canisius at 5 p.m. on ESPN3. The men will take on intrastate foe, Quinnipiac at 8:00 p.m., also on ESPN3.
The MAAC broadcast package wraps up on Friday, Feb. 13 with a late-night matchup between Manhattan and Iona on ESPNU at Draddy Gymnasium. Tipoff is scheduled for 10 p.m. The two teams will meet for the second time this season on Feb. 27 on ESPN2.
Monmouth will produce both of its home women’s basketball contests on ESPN3 this weekend. The Hawks welcome Rider to West Long Branch, N.J., on Friday, Feb. 13 at 7 p.m., and are back in action at the Multipurpose Activity Center on Sunday, Feb. 15 against Saint Peter’s at 2 p.m.
The 2015 season culminates at the 2015 MAAC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships at the Times Union Center in Albany, New York March 5-9. Tickets for the championships are available online at ticketmaster.com.
