A dominating performance by Richmond, a battle in the Bronx, an overtime thriller between Rhody and LaSalle, Davidson’s first-ever A-10 win, another win for GW, and a disappointing performance in the Reilly Center made up an interesting Sunday in #A10WBB.

Richmond 77 George Mason 49
Five double-figure scorers and great defense guided the Spiders to their tenth win of the season and second conference win. Richmond held Taylor Brown, the Atlantic 10’s leading scorer at 23.6 points per game, to just 10 points.

Fordham 60 VCU 51
VCU traveled to the Bronx and battled the defending Atlantic 10 champion Fordham Rams to the wire; Samantha Clark nearly missed a double-double for Fordham (18 points and nine rebounds) while for VCU, Ashley Pegram scored 16 points and Melanie Royster added a career-best 11 rebounds.

Rhode Island 55 La Salle 54 OT
Freshman Dominique Ward knocked down a free-throw with seven seconds remaining in overtime for Rhode Island to give the Rams, who trailed by 10 with 14:15 left in the game, their third conference victory of the season. For Rhody, senior Sydney Lewis recorded her second career double-double (14 points and a career-high 16 rebounds).

Davidson 53 Saint Louis 50
They did it! They did it! They finally did it! The Davidson Wildcats erased a double-digit second half deficit to snap their five-game skid, however, even more important than that, the Wildcats secured their first-ever Atlantic 10 victory behind Hannah Early’s 17 points.

George Washington 69 UMASS 54
Kim Pierre-Louis’ 15 points were not enough to stop the extremely red-hot George Washington Colonials. For GW, Jonquel Jones, “the Double-Double Machine,” recorded yet another, yes you guessed it, double-double (14 points and 13 rebounds).

Duquesne 63 Saint Joseph’s 54
Despite holding the Dukes to only 26.4 percent shooting, the Hawks could not get back on track, dropping their fourth conference game of the season. For Duquesne, Amadea Szamosi recorded a double-double (11 points and 15 rebounds).

Dayton 86 St. Bonaventure 70
The Bonnies fell again and kept reeling, now losers of four straight, thanks to Andrea Hoover’s 25 points and eight rebounds. For the Flyers, Ally Malott recorded a double-double (11 points and 10 rebounds), while for St. Bonaventure, Hannah Little recorded her 500th career rebound.
