Karl Harris signs NLI to play at La Salle

PHILADELPHIA – Karl Harris (Hazel Crest, Ill. / De La Salle Institute) has signed a national letter of intent to play men’s basketball at La Salle University, head coach Dr. John Giannini announced.

 

“Karl is an outstanding player from a well-coached program that faces the best of high school competition,” Giannini said. “He also has a big upside as he possess very good length and athleticism. We are confident in his future progress because of his work ethic and maturity which we have been extremely impressed with. Karl is an honor roll student and a leader who will positively contribute to our culture as well as our on-court performance.”

 

Harris (6-4, 175) averaged 14 points per game as a junior and helped De La Salle to the Chicago Catholic League Tournament championship. He played AAU for the Illinois Stars.

 

La Salle opens its season on Saturday at 3 PM when it welcomes Colgate to Tom Gola Arena.
