The first round is in the books as Los Angeles, St. Louis, Boston and Detroit all advance to baseball’s final four. On this playoff edition of Around the Diamond, host Dave Holcomb keeps it short and sweet. In the first segment, Holcomb recaps the tremendous pitching performances from Adam Wainwright and Justin Verlander in each game 5, and who was each team’s offensive heroes. Then in the second segment, Holcomb previews each championship series and makes another World Series prediction. Getting all of his predictions correct so far, our host did not want to change his original prediction of a Tigers vs. Cardinals World Series, but he does explain scenarios where he could easily see the Dodgers and Red Sox representing their leagues in baseball’s fall classic.
