Around the Diamond is proud to present another quality episode giving fans an alternative news outlet to receiving their postseason stories. On today’s show, host Dave Holcomb briefly recaps the wild card games and both game ones from the NLDS in St. Louis and Atlanta. Holcomb explains why the Cardinals and Dodgers can’t get too excited about game 1 routs because the games were must-wins for both teams. In the American League, Holcomb explains what is expected to happen to start the series’ in Boston and Oakland on Friday. Tampa Bay’s rotation can match that of Boston, but the Rays have averaged over a run less per game this season on offense. In Oakland, the A’s have their ace on the mound in Bartolo Colon against Max Schrezer, but Justin Verlander presents a mismatch in game two that could give Detroit an edge in the series. That is explained and so much more in this episode of Around the Diamond.
