Around the Diamond: Episode 10

July 27, 2013 by dmholcomb Leave a Comment

It’s another episode of Around the Diamond with host Dave Holcomb. In today’s podcast, Holcomb extensively covers the American League including the Tampa Bay Rays and Cleveland Indians. Which team is a bigger surprise? The Rays officially took over first place with their win over the Yankees Friday night, and the Indians are just three games back in the AL Central thanks to Ryan Raburn’s walk-off home run against the Rangers. In the second segment, Holcomb reviews three unusual things that happened this past week in baseball. One of those unusual things actually, C.C. Sabathia’s pitching, has happened three straight starts. The final part of the show features our ‘First to Third’ segment where Holcomb talks the Alfonso Soriano trade, Justin Verlander’s struggles, and Bartolo Colon’s success this season.
