La Salle’s Ramon Galloway to receive College Player of the Year Award from Phoenix Club of Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA – Recent La Salle graduate Ramon Galloway (Philadelphia, Pa. / South Carolina) will receive the Wali Jones Male College Player of the Year Award from the Phoenix Club of Philadelphia on June 14 at the Union League.

Galloway averaged a team-best 17.2 points per game, second in the Big 5, and dished a team-high 127 assists. He also earned first team All-Atlantic 10 and Big 5 recognition and first team all-district honors from the USBWA and NABC.

In just two seasons after transferring from South Carolina, Galloway scored 1,023 points to rank in the top 50 all-time at La Salle. He is second all-time in career three-point shooting percentage and 11th all-time in three-point field goals made.

UCLA’s Markel Walker will receive the Marilyn Stephens Female College Player of the Year Award. Rysheed Jordan of Vaux will receive the High School Player of the Year Award.
