The Rochester RazorSharks used a big second quarter to put the Dayton Air Strikers away in a 111-89 victory at the Blue Cross Arena to bring the RazorSharks record to 3-0 on the season.
After leading the Air Strikers by one at the end of the first quarter, the RazorSharks dropped shots from all over the court as they outscored Dayton 34-12 in the period and never looked back.
In that quarter, guard Keith Friel scored 12 points in the span of six minutes, including two three pointers, bringing the crowd to their feet and extending the RazoShark lead.
Guard Tasheed Carr scored a team-high 19 points to go along with his five rebounds and four assists. Carr also went 11 of 13 from the free throw line.
Leading the way for Dayton were Avery Smith and Bo Harris, who finished with 22 and 14 points, respectively. All 12 Air Strikers scored.
Six RazorSharks scored in double figures, including Jerice Crouch, who finished with 17 points, 8 assists, and three steals. Rochester’s big men put up big numbers again, as Eric Walton (10 points, 9 rebounds) and Aaron Williams (12 points) came off the bench to compliment Jamaal Davis’ 13 points and 5 rebounds from the starting line up.
