I have an odd amount of road teams picked to cover this week; we will see how that plays out. The season tally stands at 34-30 against the spread and 41-30 straight up. I’ve mentioned I feel strongly about this week’s games, so hopefully we can improve that number.

If the Bills can run the ball on the Eagles, I am taking the Bills at home. The Eagles front line has been manhandled all season. The Bills O-line has been suspect all year, but Chan Gailey has done a tremendous job of masking that. The Eagles had Frank Gore run all over them.. at home. I will take the Bills in this one.
Does anyone know if Nick Mangold is playing for the Jets. If he isn’t, the Jets will be in trouble. If he is playing – the Pats are without their captain on defense Jerod Mayo. That could make things very difficult for the Pats to win this game.
Brady and Belichick always have a different wrinkle for the Jets. Revis vs. Welker should be an interesting match up.

The Jets are getting 9 points? Wow!
Casey says
I’m with Smitty. The Bills will take the Eagles – run Fred run.
If not this weekend, when will the Colts triumph?
I’m taking the Lions over the Bears, and Jim Harbaugh’s 49ers will beat the Bucs.

So much for my Super Bowl pick. Atlanta can’t score! That’s a huge problem in the National Football League. Is your Oakland over Houston pick swayed by Andre Johnson’s absence or is Oakland playing that well?
Kyle Soppe says
swayed a bit by Andre 3000 missing the game. But the Raiders can play. Interesting stat …. the Texans rank ahead of only 2 teams in TD percentage when in the red zone (33%) .. that has to catch up to them sooner or later, and this could be the week.
Smitty says
Are the Bills this good? Or is the Dream Team this bad?? There is a whipping going on in Buffalo!
Rey says
Smitty – you read my mind! I can’t believe they are maintaining this level of play. I am guessing that the Eagles are more that bad than the Bills that good. Can’t really say though because I get stuck with the Panthers and Steelers every week down here.
Casey says
The Bills MIGHT be that good. The Raiders are winning late in Houston. That win by the Bills over the Silver and Black is looking better every passing week. The Bengals just improved to 3-2. The Bills only loss was on the road to the Bengals.
Smitty says
Casey – starting to agree with you. They held on for the win – you had to know that the Eagles offense was going to take a shot and not give up. But in the end – an opportunistic Bills defense makes the play.
Not sure if you saw this, but Eagles had Bills 4th and 1 with a little over a minute left. Bills keep the offense on the field. Everyone knows a hard count is coming. No way the Bills are snapping the ball. No way.. No way they are going to do it. Hard count by Fitzpatrick and a lineman from the Eagles D jumps. Game. Set. Match. Any questions on why the Eagles are 1-4? Right there is your answer.
Now about the Giants.. 🙂
Smitty says
The Pats are wearing the throwbacks. Oh yeah..
