Who am I?

October 8, 2008 by Paul Gotham 4 Comments

I was born in West Virginia. After being taken in the second round of the MLB draft, I went on to that rare accomplishment of playing my entire career - 21 seasons - with one team. I won three batting titles while collecting over 3,100 base hits. I hit over 300 home runs and swiped over 200 bags. I also led the AL in slugging % and hits three times. I rushed for over 12,000 yards in my career, and I gained over 17,000 yards from scrimmage. I am still in the top ten for career rushing yards. My trophy case holds an Offensive Rookie of … [Read more...] about Who am I?

October 6, 2008 by Rey 1 Comment

In soccer, a yellow card is a cautionary measure for what FIFA deems “unsporting behavior of a less serious nature.” If such a behavior is deemed “serious,” then a red card is shown and the player is sent off and suspended. A second yellow card in a match is considered an indirect red card and merits the same disciplinary action. Realizing this is well known to even non-soccer … [Read more...] about FIFA shows Croatia only a Yellow for Racism
